About HFA

OUR MISSION

The Heart of Holy Family Academy

Holy Family Academy educates students to fulfill their fundamental vocation: to be saints who live as beloved sons and daughters of God. Every one of our students, indeed, every human person, is a child of God and finds happiness only by discovering and living this identity. Formal education in the Catholic Faith aims specifically at personal union with God:

“At the heart of catechesis we find, in essence, a Person, the Person of Jesus of Nazareth…The definitive aim of catechesis is to put people not only in touch but in communion, in intimacy, with Jesus Christ.”

(Catechesi Tradendae, 5)

Therefore, the ultimate educational goal at HFA is no less than union with God lived imperfectly in this world and perfectly in the next.

Be who God calls you to be.

Catholic, Classical, Affordable

CATHOLIC

As a Catholic school, Holy Family Academy rejoices in her identity.

To this end, we embrace:

  • participation in Daily Mass and weekly availability of the Sacrament of Reconciliation

  • teaching grounded in Christian anthropology

  • curriculum imbued with a Catholic worldview

  • the truth about who we are in relation to Christ, and who we are called to be as God’s creation

CLASSICAL

A classical liberal education cultivates wisdom and virtue by nourishing the soul on truth, goodness, and beauty by means of the Trivium and Quadrivium - teaching students not just how to learn, but how to reason.

Socratic Method discussion-based classes help students to further discern truth.

It is precisely this kind of education that has produced countless great leaders, inventors, scientists, writers, philosophers, theologians, physicians, lawyers, artists, and musicians over the centuries.

AFFORDABLE

An amazing education ought to be available to all students.

In as much as is possible, and while paying a living wage to our faculty and staff, we aim to make the school affordable.

Through stewardship of resources, a community of generous benefactors, and the abundant mercy of God, we are able to keep costs as low as possible, and provide a substantial amount of scholarship funds to meet families’ needs.

NAPCIS Accreditation

Holy Family Academy is proud to be accredited by the National Association of Private, Catholic and Independent Schools since 2018.

NAPCIS member schools have as their mission the salvation of souls and academic excellence. Education should train students to think intelligently, reason critically and wisely, and to express themselves with clarity and competence.

To that end, NAPCIS measures Holy Family Academy against fifteen Standards of Excellence, including a comprehensive adherence to the Catholic faith, clear goals and objectives, competent instruction and leadership, sound administrative and financial practices, and effective accountability.
